About the Role
We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Executive to grow revenue for Ceviant X, our FX and cross-border payments business. This role focuses on acquiring high-value clients, structuring FX-driven commercial deals, and building strategic partnerships that increase transaction volumes across cross-border, treasury, and currency exchange use cases.
The role owns deal closure, pricing discussions, negotiation, and long-term account value creation within a regulated FX environment.
What You'll Do
Revenue & Deal Ownership
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle for high-value FX clients, including corporates, fintechs, aggregators, and institutional customers.
- Structure and negotiate FX pricing, spreads, volumes, and commercial terms in line with margin and risk objectives.
- Close revenue-generating FX deals and ensure timely activation and early volume ramp-up.
Strategic Partnerships
- Build and manage strategic relationships with banks, fintechs, payment companies, and international partners.
- Identify partnership-led opportunities that unlock new FX corridors, liquidity sources, or client segments.
- Drive joint initiatives that expand transaction volumes and recurring FX flows.
Account Growth & Retention
- Develop and manage growth plans for key FX accounts.
- Identify upsell opportunities across FX products, treasury services, and cross-border payment solutions.
- Strengthen long-term client relationships to improve retention and lifetime value.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Treasury, Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Product teams to unblock revenue and execute deals efficiently.
- Ensure FX deals align with regulatory, liquidity, and operational requirements.
- Provide market and client feedback to inform pricing strategies, product enhancements, and corridor expansion.
- Maintain structured pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline.
What You'll Bring
- 4–5 years' experience in business development, enterprise sales, or partnerships within FX, banking, fintech, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of FX products, cross-border payments, treasury flows, and pricing mechanics.
- Proven experience closing complex, high-value FX or treasury-driven deals.
- Strong commercial judgment, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Comfort engaging senior stakeholders, including CFOs, Treasurers, and Finance Heads.
- Experience managing FX corridors, liquidity partners, or correspondent banking relationships.
- Familiarity with CBN FX regulations and cross-border compliance considerations.
- Track record of driving FX revenue in regulated environments.
